CLASS OF 1958 |

Dear Classmates: The Alumni Association held the first meeting with class chairmen on June 23, 2009. The initial letter to alumna will be mailed in August 2009. We will need volunteers for registration, to make name tags, decorations and display of memorabilia. Be thinking which you would like to do! Meanwhile……… The Class of 1958 has the following events planned: Friday, June 25, 2010 – Registration at the High School Get together with Classes of 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963 at the River Room, which is upstairs in the building located at Oak and National, across the street North of the Nu-Grille. There is an elevator available to get upstairs. When we were in school, the upstairs was the roller rink, first floor was the Vince Owens Pontiac dealership and the basement had a bowling alley. We will have hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. This building has been beautifully restored with a new restaurant, The Buffalo Grill, which will open July 1, 2009 , in the downstairs. This shoul d b e a fun event and the time will be provided later. Saturday, June 26, 2010 – Registration at the High School . 9:00 AM Class meeting at Raymond Streeter's RV Barn at 10 Golf View Drive, Fort Scott. This is the time when we will ask for volunteers to chair the next reunion. The Barn will be open to us all weekend for visiting and will be a great place to relax . Noon – Lunch, Class Picture and 70 th Birthday Bash at Janice & Pete Allen's house . 5:00 – 7:00 PM – Dinner at the Nu-Grille. Order from the menu and enjoy the music from the 50's & 60's. As always there will be all school alumni activities to take up any slack time. We have not planned any events for Sunday but welcome any suggestions from you which might enhance the weekend. Our class treasury shoul d b e sufficient to cover the expenses for the entire weekend as your donations were more than was needed for our 50th Reunion . We would like to thank Sharon Campbell for being the communicator for the class. Our monthly luncheons and her newsletters have kept us informed and closer as the years move along. We do have some 50 th Reunion books available to sell and will have them at the registration table at the High School. We sincerely hope you all are planning to attend the reunion, especially if you were unable to attend the 50 th . |
