8th Grade Recognition and Promotion

FSMS is happy to announce we have been provided the opportunity to change our originally planned virtual assembly to a ceremony to be conducted at Frary Field on Thursday May 13th at 10;00 a.m.

This venue provides us with the space to accommodate all who wish to participate as audience members. We ask that all who attend to social distance and wear masks.

We will bus the students from FSMS to the stadium so they would be there by 9:30 a.m.

We anticipate the ceremony to last approximately 40 minutes, at which time, students requiring bus transportation will be transported back to the school to await lunch and the afternoon games and activities planned by the Exploratory Teachers. Students who do not need bus transportation may leave with their parents and would be invited to return to school for the afternoon activities beginning at 1:00 p.m.

We would ask students to dress appropriately for the occasion as this is one of their milestones in life.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the FSMS gymnasium. We have determined that we can accommodate two spectators per student and would ask that all spectators wear masks, have their temperature checked, and attempt to social distance the best we can in our confined gym. We will make the decision to hold the ceremony indoors as early as possible and announce it through social media, the school website, and textcaster.

Thank you to all who were instrumental in providing this opportunity. We love our kids and want to be able to have the best for them each and every day.

Sincerely,

David Brown
