About Our Principal
Dr. Zach Johnson is proud to serve as Principal of Fort Scott Middle School and says that the incredible students and staff he interacts with daily make his job fun.
Originally from Willard, MO, Dr. Johnson has served as an Assistant Principal and Activities Director at USD445 in Coffeyville, Kansas, as well as a teacher and coach (football, basketball, and baseball) in Missouri.
Dr. Johnson says he always strives to connect with students and staff in meaningful ways, and enjoys providing ongoing support to every member of the Fort Scott Middle School family - students, staff, parents, and guardians. He also works to empower and equip everyone he works with because he believes that when they begin to realize their unique power and capabilities, the sky’s the limit!
When Dr. Johnson isn’t at school, he loves spending time with his family and being outdoors. Dr. Johnson also told us that as an avid hunter, he never passes up a trip to Bass Pro Shop! Dr. Johnson believes that Fort Scott is a community that cares deeply about its school system, and he considers it an honor to join the district’s pursuit of an even brighter future.
