Welcome - Krystle Mayginnes

We are proud to introduce Krystle Mayginnes to the Tiger Family as the assistant principal at Winfield Scott Elementary School!

She and her family come to us from Junction City, KS where she taught English/Language Arts at Junction City High School.  Krystle taught secondary English for eleven years in Kansas schools.  She also has experience as a Debate Coach.

Krystle calls Salina, KS her hometown.  She earned her Bachelors’ Degree at Kansas Wesleyan University in Secondary English Education.  She attended Emporia State University where she achieved her Masters’ Degree in Educational Administration.  She is currently working to receive her Doctorate from Baker University.

Krystle and her husband, James, are joined by their 11-year-old daughter, Klaire, and their 2-year-old son, Jimmy.  They enjoy doing things as a family and attending bluegrass festivals any chance they get.  They especially enjoy the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfield, KS.

Krystle is super excited to begin her administrative career in Fort Scott and for her family to become Tigers.  She is especially looking forward to learning from our great staff, board office staff and fellow administrators.

The following quote from Aristotle has shaped her philosophy about education, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”

“Krystle brings a variety of skills and talents to our administrative team.  I believe that she will make a positive impact on the students at Winfield Scott,” states Destry Brown, Superintendent.

Welcome to the Tiger Family, Krystle Mayginnes!
