A Message from Our Principal:
Good morning Tigers! The first check to see which of you qualify for Rewards Lunch is coming up next week on Tuesday, September 8th, first thing in the morning.
Here's what you need to know:
To make the list, you need:
All A's and B's — no C's, D's, F's, or Incompletes
Zero unexcused absences, and no more than 3 total absences this quarter (medical/activity absences don't count)
No Lunch Detention, Friday Night School, ISS, or OSS
When you'll find out:
You'll be notified by Wednesday, September 9th, whether you made the list.
One more thing:
If you qualify, you'll need a permission form signed by a parent/guardian on file in the office before you can start using your Rewards Lunch privilege. Tiger Time teachers have permission forms.
It would be a great idea to check your grades in PowerSchool and make sure everything's on track before next Tuesday!
It’s a Tiger Pride Friday! First pep assembly of the year is this afternoon and tonight is the Tiger Football Home Opener! Because of the heat, kickoff is at 8 o’clock Friday night. Speaking of heat, the student section theme tonight is islander/Fiji/tropical.

There are football and volleyball photos available for pickup in the office. Also, school photos are Wednesday! Get photo order forms from your Tiger Time teacher or you can pick one up in the office.
Let your first hour teacher know if you’re eating at school today! Free breakfast! One per student per school day.

Student Council is teaming up with Redbud Farms and Nurseries for the annual Mum Fundraiser! See a Student Council member to purchase a $20 voucher to use at Redbud! This Tuesday, September 8th, is the last day!
Seniors, if you are not paying the $50 to attend prom and you want to sell candy bars, you can pick up a box from Mrs. Knopp.
If you have ordered a P.E. shirt, they are in the process of being made. Tiger Threads will be delivering them as they get done. If you still need to order one, please email Mrs. Cummings (danielle.cummings@usd234.org).

On Friday, September 11th, Dylan from Jostens will be here to visit with Sophomores (class rings) during Tiger Time and Seniors (grad swag) during Study Hall/RTI.
Auditions for “Legally Blonde Jr, the Musical” are September 14th OR September 15th. Use the links below if you are interested in auditioning for a role or being a part of the technical crew. You can also see Ms. Bin or Ms. Starkey.

The PreACT test will be administered on October 20th. The test will start at 8:00 am and run all morning. This test is open to all freshmen. This is a practice ACT test. Scores will not be sent to any colleges or scholarships. This test is only for you to see where you perform with other freshmen across the country. You must sign up to take this free test. Please sign up in the Counseling office. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Keylon or Mr. Messer.
The signup deadline is September 25th.
The PSAT test will be administered on October 27th. The test will start at
8:00 am and run all morning. This test is open to all 11th graders to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship and also serves as a practice SAT test.
You must sign up to take the test and pay $18. The signup sheet is on Ms. Deckinger’s door. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Deckinger.
The signup deadline is September 29th.
