Congratulations to the FSHS Choir!
On Saturday, November 8th, 19 choir students auditioned for the Kansas Music Educators Association’s Southeast District Choir. Only 144 students in the southeast district are selected for this choir. Over 400 students auditioned and 10 FSHS students had audition scores high enough to be selected for this honor.

Congratulations to FSHS Cross Country Coach Tracey Bogina on being named the SEK Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year for this season!

Saturday night is Fort Scott Customer Appreciation Night at Lowe's Skateway in Pittsburg! Free admission and Free skate rentals for all Fort Scott customers. There will also be music, games, and prizes! Saturday November 15th from 7 -10 at Lowe's Skateway, 2719 N. Joplin in Pittsburg.

Congratulations to FSHS Senior Soccer Players Nate Mintz and Kaydan Russell on being named to the All-SEK League Soccer team for this season. Mintz was named to the 2nd team while Russell received Honorable Mention honors.
Also, Congratulations to FSHS Head Coach Danny Larsen on being named the SEK League Soccer Coach of the Year for the 2025 season.

Congratulations to FSHS Junior Kyndal Aikin on being named to the All-SEK League Volleyball 2nd team for this season.


Mesa Casper, a 2024 Fort Scott High School graduate, will compete with her collegiate team from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Tallahassee, FL on Friday, November 21st. The team clinched their national qualification with a close runner-up finish at the KCAC Championships on November 8th in Leavenworth.
Casper was also named the KCAC Champion of Character for her team at the KCAC Conference Championships. The award recognizes student-athletes and teams who exemplify the program's five core values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. The awards are presented to those who demonstrate these values both on and off the field.
Casper is in her Sophomore year at the University of Saint Mary where she is majoring in Nursing and competes on the Cross Country and Track teams. She was a 6-time 4A State Qualifier in Cross Country and Track in high school at FSHS.

Fort Scott Community College will host a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday November 11, 2025 from 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm in the Ellis Auditorium on the FSCC Campus. This meeting will highlight FSCC's new Student Services and Academic/CTE Programs. Workforce Industry member, Community members, and Parents are encouraged to attend to share their ideas on new Academic/CTE programs, or new Certification programs from FSCC.

The FSHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be sponsoring a Pumpkin Drop-Off from now until mid-November. Drop your sad or unwanted pumpkins off at 5 Corners and place them in the trailer located there. Proceeds will go to FCA.

The FSHS Zero Reasons Why organization will be holding a fundraiser at Papa Don's Pizza on Wednesday November 5th. A portion of all sales will go to FSHS Zero Reasons Why. Come on out and support a great cause!

Good luck to the FSHS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams! They will be competing at the 4A State Cross Country meet tomorrow in Wamego. The girls race begins at 10:35, while the boys will run at 12:20.

FSHS Tiger Football will head to Tonganoxie tonight to take on the Tonganoxie Chieftains in the Week 9 game to start the post-season. Fans can enter the stadium through the SE, SW, and NW corners of the stadium and the visitor seating section is on the east side. There will be a State Send-off for our State Qualifying Cross Country teams on Friday as they head to Wamego for the 4A State Cross Country meet on Saturday. Both Boys and Girls team will leave the high school at 2:15 and will head down National Street on their way out of town. The community is encouraged to line National and cheer them on as they head to State!
