Happy Veterans Day! Today we honor YOU!
Congratulations to this week's "FSMS Staff Spotlight."
The Fort Scott Middle School and High School Orchestras will perform a concert Thursday, October 27th at the middle school and ask that you please join them as they celebrate America.
The Middle School Orchestra will open the concert at 7:00 pm with a short presentation followed by the High School Orchestra performing traditional patriotic songs and featuring “Defenders of the Nation” that includes the armed forces themes from the Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy and Army.
If you are an active service member or a veteran please attend the concert and let us recognize and honor you for your service.
Two dates to put on your calendars, Saturday, October 28, 2022, Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit will be at the Pittsburg State University Veterans Memorial from 10 am to 3 pm. Then on December 17, 2022, the National Wreath Laying Day will be at the Fort Scott National Cemetery.

National School Bus Safety Week is October 17-21st and October 19th is School Transportation Appreciation Day! We appreciate our drivers and transportation department making sure our kids get to school throughout the year. Give a BIG thank you to our drivers if you see them around town this week!

Tiger Reminder! Teachers will be preparing for Parent/Teacher conferences so no school on Friday.
FSMS Parents: October 17th and 18th is Parent/Teacher Conferences from 4:30-8:00 pm. Parents can come at any time. Grade cards will be passed out at the front door and parents are more then welcome to go to grade pods and speak with teachers and also talk to other teachers throughout the building. We can't wait to see you all.
