Debate Camp Update! Per coach Slinkard: Due to a large amount of cross over with another camp and some other students' conflicts, I have decided to move the Open/Varsity camp start date back one day. We will now meet starting August 3rd (Thursday) and have our last day on Saturday instead of Friday. This was the easiest way to assist as many kiddos as possible. The times will be the same and the free lunch will be on Saturday instead of Friday. Sorry for any inconvenience. If a student cannot make it Saturday that is fine, I would rather them be there on the first day and miss the last day than vise-versa. Thank you!

FSHS Debate Camp Reminder! Per Coach Slinkard:
• The Novice Camp (incoming Freshmen/1st year HS students) will have their camp on July 31st and August 1st from 1-4pm, both days. We will be located in the South Wing (Wind Room) of the Middle School. You can drop your kiddos off at the bus stop area. Students only need to bring a pen/pencil, notebook paper, and their bright young minds!
• Open/Varsity Camp (all 2nd-4th year students) will meet August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from 9am-2pm all three days. This camp will also be in the Wind Room. We will break for lunch around 11:30am which will be on their own on Wed and Thurs, but I will cover all their lunches on Friday. Also, I am in the process of working with the tech department to get access to your kiddos laptops. Tentatively, the laptops will be available when your kiddos arrive. I will update if something changes. If your kiddo is joining the team as a sophomore, junior, or senior I would welcome them to the novice camp on July 31st and August 1st. I would also be more than happy to have them join the experienced kiddos at the open/varsity camp if they so choose. If it is a choice between the two, I recommend the novice camp because that will also give me an extended opportunity to get to know them.
• I would also like to emphasize that the camps are neither required nor bear any costs for students. The respective camps are simply an opportunity I provide for kiddos to get a head start on the season. Any coach would testify to their value!
If needed, you can reach Coach Slinkard at tyler.slinkard@usd234.org

Winfield Scott & Eugene Ware parents: Here is some great news for your Tuesday! Thanks Faith Church!
