The bracket for the 4A State Softball Tournament in Salina on May 23rd and 24th has been released. Fort Scott is the #5 seed and will play the #4 seed Towanda-Circle in the first round at 1:00 on Thursday May 23rd. If Fort Scott wins in the first round, they will play the winner of Scott City/Andale-Garden Plain on Friday May 24th at 11 am. The 3rd place game will be at 3:00 and the championship game at 5:00. All games in the tournament will be played at Salina South High School, Field A. Sports physicals will be offered by CHC/SEK at Fort Scott High School on Tuesday May 21st and Wednesday May 22nd from 9 am - 4 pm in the FSHS Aux Gym. Tuesday the 21st is for High School athletes, and Wednesday the 22nd is for Middle School athletes. Enter the East main doors at FSHS. All students planning to participate in a sport at FSMS or FSHS next year must have a physical done and the proper paperwork signed in order to participate.

The KSHSAA Regional brackets for Baseball and Softball have been released. Both Fort Scott High School teams will host a Regional tournament. Softball will play on Tuesday May 14th at Fisher Park. The tournament will start at 3:00 with #6 seed Atchison playing #11 seed El Dorado. The #3 seed Fort Scott will play #14 seed Augusta 25 minutes after the first game is complete (approximately 4:45). The championship game will take place around 6:45. Baseball will play Wednesday May 15th at LaRoche Baseball Complex. At 2:00 the #5 seed Chanute will play #12 Tonganoxie. 25 minutes after the conclusion of that game the #4 seed Fort Scott takes on #13 seed Bishop Miege (approximately 4:15). The championship game will be held around 6:30. More details about the Regionals will be released in the coming days. Go Tigers!!!
