Girls Basketball Sub-State Championship Game today in Fort Scott! Fort Scott takes on Labette County for the right to advance to the 4A State Tournament in Salina next week. Start time is 5:00, doors will open to spectators at 4:00. KSHSAA ticket prices: $8 adults, $6 students K-12. No passes accepted. 4A Girls Sub-State Basketball Championship Game Saturday at Fort Scott High School. Fort Scott will take on Labette County at 5 pm in the FSHS Main Gym. Doors will open for spectators at 4 pm. This is a KSHSAA post-season event: ticket prices are $8 adults and $6 students K-12. No passes will be accepted, however thanks to generous donations from local businesses all Fort Scott High School students will be allowed in for free! Go Tigers!!!

Congratulations to our JAG-K students! On Friday, February 28th, they traveled to a competition in Independence. Alizeigh Spears, Olivia Leighty, and Kyla Korinek competed in the PBL (Project-Based Learning) presentations and placed 4th overall, earning them a spot at State in Wichita! They will be competing there for a chance to advance to Nationals!

Congratulations to FSHS Teacher/Coach Brennen Feeback on receiving the 2025 Horizon Award from the Kansas State Department of Education! He received the award last week at a ceremony in Topeka. The mission of the Horizon award is to recognize exemplary first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding. Only 32 teachers across the state who have completed their first year teaching are recognized. Keep up the good work Coach Feeback!


Congratulations to FSHS Senior Payton Atwood! Her name was drawn Tuesday evening at the home basketball games and will receive a $1000 scholarship from Pittsburg State University! Special thanks to Gus the Gorilla for making an appearance!


Fort Scott High School had the privilege of hosting the local Special Olympics Basketball event Wednesday February 26th! What a great opportunity for our students! Members of the basketball teams, cheer squad, and band were involved with the event, and we even had a student section cheering them on! The smiles on the faces of the participants were priceless!


The Fort Scott Tigers close out the regular season tonight at Independence. JV Boys at 4:30 followed by the C Boys at 5:45, both of those games at Losey Gymnasium (Independence MS).
